What a Coventry skip licence costs
Coventry City Council accepts skip licence applications from skip companies, and the fee depends on notice:
- £71 with at least three working days' notice
- £79 with less notice
- £53 to renew for another 14 days
- £210 for a retrospective licence
A licence can run for any period from one day to 14 days. Booking a few days ahead is the cheapest route.
Earlsdon, Chapelfields and Stoke
These older neighbourhoods are mostly Victorian and Edwardian terraces without driveways, so a road licence is the norm. On newer estates, a skip on the drive avoids the licence fee altogether, but check the drive can take the weight of a full skip.
The tip needs a booking
Coventry's recycling and reuse centre on Bar Road only lets in visitors with a booking. For bulky or heavy waste from a renovation, a skip saves the trips. Read what can go in a skip first: plasterboard, tyres and electricals are usually excluded.
