The supplier applies, not you
Rochdale Borough Council is clear that the skip permit is the supplier's responsibility, not the householder's or the builder's. Permits run from 1 to 28 days, and only one skip is allowed at a time. A deposit may be needed for a skip on a footway or verge. We couldn't find a published fee, so check it's included in your quote.
Keep it covered
Rochdale's conditions require skip contents to be kept damp or covered to stop dust and spillage. On a windy hillside job, ask for a net or cover, especially if you're clearing plaster, insulation or garden waste.
On the road
