Permits in Slough
Only skip hire companies registered with Slough Borough Council can apply for a skip permit; residents can't. A permit lasts 14 days and can be renewed in 7 day blocks. The council doesn't publish the fee, so ask the supplier what's included.
Between the M4 and Heathrow
Slough sits along the M4 between junctions 5 and 7, just west of Heathrow and the London boundary. The council has declared four Air Quality Management Areas. With a busy motorway and airport traffic nearby, ask the supplier about delivery times if your street is on a main route.
Check the council
Some addresses with Slough postcodes, such as Burnham and Farnham Royal, are actually in Buckinghamshire, which has its own skip rules. The permit comes from the council covering the address. See skip hire across Berkshire and the skip permit guide.
